350.org, An Organization Worth Looking Into
For this project, I decided to write about the 350.org Organization. They believe in a safe
climate and a better future. They believe that ordinary people like us can change the world if we
all come together. Their online campaigns, grassroots organizing, and mass public actions bring
together a global network active in over 188 countries.
“Climate change isn’t a distant, abstract problem — it’s here, today. People all over the world are feeling the impacts, from island nations that are going underwater, to indigenous land being exploited for fossil fuel extraction. The fight against climate change is a fight for justice.”, states their website.
To join the movement, it’s pretty simple. You have the power to round up all of your friends, neighbors, and co-workers to help our world become a better place for future generations. You can find many resources on 350.org to help you with your project to educate your community; or start a petition to pass a climate-friendly policy; or implement local climate solutions.
